Pow Wow

I went to the PowWow with my friend. I was surprised that the hall was very excited. Many people came together in the hall. I participated in the festival about Native Americans for the first time. I was excited too. At first, the dance was very nice and mysterious. I had never seen it. I thought the step was very easy, but I think it was very difficult. I think the step has many meanings.  The costume had many things. For example, they were jewelry, sound makers, colorful things and big feathers. I think it was like a bird. The makeup was very colorful. It was Blue, yellow and white, but I didn’t like their face.   Adults and children were dancing. I was surprised that the small children were good dancers. Small children had nice costumes too. It was very cute. Next, Native Americans song was very powerful and delicate. The song rhythmics always continued. I think it was not a song. People gave a war cry, so it was very loud. I can’t understand the meaning. I listened to the song near by, so I closed my ears. The song was sung by young person too. Finally, many people sold a lot of things. For example, accessories, clothes, DVD about Native Americans, stone, food, and dream catchers. Native American people sell a lot of wolf goods. I think Native American people worship the wolf. I bought accessories and a dream catcher. It’s  my favorite. I feel Native American people are proud of their culture. It’s a very important thing. Am I proud of Japanese culture? The answer is not enough. Japanese people should be proud of our culture. Today, I had a good experience. I want to participate in the PowWow next time, and speak to Japanese friends about Pow Wow.
